If your favorite pet has gone face-to-rump with a skunk, be sure to try our recommended skunk remedy.

Combine a 16-ounce bottle of hydrogen peroxide, one box of baking soda, and three tablespoons of liquid dish detergent.  Pour over the dry dog, and lather well.  Be sure to allow the mixture to remain on the skin for 10 minutes before rinsing, and repeat if needed. 

In addition to the smell, skunk musk can be toxic to dogs especially with a direct hit to the face.  So keep an eye on their activity levels and check their gum color, which should be pink with no hint of paleness.  If anything changes, call us immediately.
